Each summer DIRECTV tries to lure new customers (football fans in particular) with an offer that includes NFL Sunday Ticket at no extra charge. Sounds too good to be true, right?

The first time this offer was available we set out to show its effects on customers nationwide. We kicked things off with broadcast then followed it up with social posts, rich media placements and print.

When DIRECTV came back with a similar offer the following year we released a series of unbranded, cryptic pre-roll teasers warning customers of what was to come. They were lead to a landing page that detailed the pitfalls of DIRECTV's offer.

 
 
 

Since we focused on the epidemic of hits happening across the country the previous year, this time around we decided to feature the story of one unfortunate customer.
